About I have to write this: I was thinking and wondering and tested a lot of photo´s to merge with her. My choice depends of our nordic mood and light, our climate and our LOOOONG wait for summer and warmth... The oppostie moods are therefore intentional!!!!

It took me quite a lot of time just looking at both your collages and contemplating about what to comment on… I was trying to concentrate on the pics but it wasn’t so simple… probably because while I kept looking at them the more sense they made (at least to me) and in other levels than just aesthetics… the stark contrast between the subjects and monochrome versus color combined, worked as a “shock” treatment firstly for the eyes and then the mind… her ethereal beauty so well and mysteriously caught from the low angle perspective along with the sunny leaves in the immediate foreground feels like we get a glimpse on her thoughts… she indeed looks back with longing of what is about to be left but she has kept her memories in her hands and she is ready to move forward… eminent skies surround her but they never looked so good and “natural”… life changes constantly and we must learn to keep the best out of it… like the flowers she is holding… romantically sad yet optimistic in a subtle way… a beautiful work my friend… my sincere admiration… Hugs…

Love the contrast in the moods in here.
Creative PS work and idea Jeanette.
I like how each of your photos has it's own taste and mood.
God bless you my friend,
Khaled.

In reference to your saying you are expressing different climates, I actually saw this as expressing different moods. The way your model (is that you?) is looking back toward the separate photo with such a sad or serious expression leads me to believe she is thinking of a brighter or happier moment. That's what I get from it.

Jeanette, did you try to fade b/w to color, so they wouldn't looks separate.
My regards, LArissa

At first I did not understand this, even having read your introduction. But after reading Randy's comment it made sense and I connect with this. I think perhaps it is the model looking directly at the sun that truely bridged these two shots for me. Both shots beautiful in their own way, and yet starkly different, like the seasons. Well done.

Regards,
Mark

It's perfect!
The contrast between the lights is great, also if I think that your model "lights" the shot also the weather isn't clear. With a face so sunny it's always summer around her.

These two images contrast so beautifully against one another. I like that you went with the b&w for the portrait, and the warm orange glow in the second. Well thought out and perfect together, well done...

The kiss of the sun over and under the leaves is splendid. You needed a plant for your two flowers!
Good night Jeanette.

so differents bur so well togheter..
the B&W girl give me the feel of a steal moment where she did simple things with easy think..
the coloured nature give me the sense of fresh air of the morning....
together they are the pure sense of serenity..

Nice concept, really great work from you!
The left one is a dramatic shot but too
expressive and full of emotive elements.
The right side a very powerfull composition
from nature. Love the strong contrast in both
ones. Excellent mind great idea!
Another interesting and artistic job by you,
dear my friend! Well done dear!

Best wishes dear Jeanette!

Hi and thanks for your thought. I was thinking and wondering and tested a lot of photo´s to add. But i wanted this opposite mood photo, one darker then the other. Cause it has to do with the climate up here and the long wait for summer and light and then when the summer arrive we have light almost all night too .... a short time and it´s gone...
Therefore this mix of shots and it shall be there - at least for me!

I am with Stingray as far as the merits of each photo but I am not sure they go together. I suppose there is a different interpretation for every person and that requires thought. If that is the goal, then you have accomplished it as I've sat for 15 minutes trying to interpret this.

Best wishes,
Dave

Interesting compilation, it makes you think.
The Beatle's song "Yesterday" comes to mind.
Clouds overhead, BW...a longing look to sunnier times, of warmth. Good placement with her gaze dirrectly at sun. Nice work

An unusual pairing of studies my dear Jeanette and so full of impact. The mono toned informal portrait is superb and the angle of your composition was well thought out and very effective. Your beautiful young model looks amazing in her relaxed pose set against the moodiness of that sky. Well done on that shot.
Your nature shot and second part to this wonderful collage is a fine example of contre jour photography. I love how the backlighting has outlined the leaves in golden sunlight. Your dof is perfect and the details superb. Well done to you sweetie a very fine piece of work. My very best wishes to you as always......Ray
