Very evocative of emotional turmoil, the moments that try our souls. To look into this photo leads one to look into ones own self, as we all have gone through times of struggle and emotional upheaval. Excellent lighting and tone

"Welcome to my nightmare" came to mind gazing at this. This has a completed look when compared to the original, taking it up one level. I think this is a good example of the place of PS in photography. The detail and contrasts in the face rivit attention there. Nice piece of photoart.

Nicely composed, emotion provoking shot. The DOF is right on, just capturing enough detail in background to add to image but not detract from subject. The small green plant is an intregal element. It makes one wish to be able to sit and talk about what his thoughts are and what has gone on.

The subject placed as it is with generous space around it, yet with the shutter offset to the left, creats nice balance. The plaster wall makes a great natural 'matt'. I like the three levels of depth that ends with the reflection. Very interesting composition.

Hi Paolo, great series of shots showing man deep in his own thoughts as the world goes by around him. Panning out from left to right is very effective. Nice work

What a wonderful surreal scene, really striking. Awsome color combinations. As a "Critiquer's Corner" submission, I guess I'd say it could benifit by a little more sharness on foreground tree.

Perfectly captured here with well composed shot.
I guess the combination of DOF,perspective and colors give this the look of an embroidered textile art. Thanks for the informative about.

Double tall cappuccino dry with one sugar please :)
Nice perspective and angles to create interest and movement in this set of pictures. I like the limited spots of color in the otherwise mostly monotone steel machine tone. My favoite is the center.
(now time to go make a cup of my favorite)

I really like this a lot, as Karina says, the painter becomes one with the painting. Great piece. The placement of the artist to the far left with his face the darkest part in the image adds much to the overall impact. Perfectly captured movement of his arm. There is an emotional edge with the repeated hearts and the colors that transition from cool to warm going right to left where your eyes stop at his intense expression. Perhaps his heart is hurting and he is letting it out through artistic expression?
