Sandra, This is a great B&W composition, the lines of the frame lead the viewer's eye right into the central point of interest, the brakes. The combination of horzional, vertical, and diagonial lines and the circle formed by the wheel really make a excellent image. Even the handlebar being out of focus, gives the image a great sense of depth. The only criticism I have is the white spot in the lower right hand cornor, and the silly date stamp. turn the date feature off on your camera if you can. You say in your bio, that you're not a photographer, but will be someday, Well, I think you have reached that day. Excellent Work! Reguards, Ray W.

Gabrielle, Just some suggested changes, crop to emphize faces, get rid of extream red cast by reducing red saturatin and then adjust contrast and color correction, much more could be done, but image, though intreging, has not to much to work with from a technical standpoint. Reguards, Ray W

Ivan, Great capture, good detail and composition, tough with this subjuct, they usually don't tend to stand still for very long. These guys are real survivers, you find them from the most barren areas, like death valley to downtown in urban areas. Excellent work. reguards, ray

Huw, I really like the composition and color in this image a lot, dosn't look like a white balance problem to me, just a matter of interpertation. I do a lot of work in raw also. Used to use Nikon's converter to convert them, until PS CS came out, now use it exclusively, gives me a immense amount of control, and can do a lot of thing in the plug-in which I used to have to do in adjustment layers, like color correction. Are you using Canon's raw converter or did you do this in PS. Sure be nice if we could get a standard raw format across all camera vendors, like Adobe is pushing for. Good work, reguards, ray

Mike, Excellent Work, Great detail and nice soft colors, like the texture in the rock. The burned sky in the upper left seems a bit distracting, however. Maybe tone it down a bit, just some random thoughts. Saw a flyer about some photo work you're doing with some kids over on the coast. Good work, keep it up, reguards, ray

Jayr, I think I like this version better than the color version, it places more emphasis on the man working on the boat who is really the central figure, and who expresses the story that the photo is about. the color version has too many distractions which distract ones attention from this central figure. Good Work!! reguards, ray w.
