some might argue that the image is soft but it has the wonderful quality of a children's book illustration - wonderful fodder for the imagination.

Looking forward to new pictures upon your return...but in the mean time, I love this one...geese are one of my favorites....and this is so well done...the geese in the foreground and the valley beyond...has an old world feel to the whole picture...

I really like this photo Patricia. The subject geese in the foreground are an interesting main subject, but the valley below and distant hills make it an especially well seen photograph that has great depth and visual interest. The only nit worth mentioning is the somewhat overly bright sky. Have a nice trip! Cheers. Craig

As Jim says, the neatly lined up empty tables and chairs help lead the eye to the busy far end.
A crop to a square may be interesting.

A child's pinwheel and a pinch of pixie dust?
Looks as if I missed you at the old Pied au Couchon by a semester. Too bad :-) If you are a seafood lover, try the Plateau Royal at the new incarnation of Pied. It's my favorite. There's a pretty good approximation on this side of the Atlantic at Balthazar in SoHo in NYC.
If you're staying for a week or longer and need an apt., let me know. We've spent two summers in a large and recently renovated one-bedroom apt. on Rue du Dragon a couple of blocks from the St. Germain Metro stop. It's a 4th floor walk up, so you're guaranteed some exercise, but it's exquisitely furnished, is in immaculate condition, and the Pressunic at St. Germain delivers groceries to your door. I can send you the e-mail address and phone number for the architect who did the renovation and handles rentals for the owner.

Je me sens un peu ridicule avec mes évocations de lumière naissante alors que le titre dit "noir sur blanc" que nous sommes le soir. J'aimais bien pourtant cette correspondance entre un éventuel amour naissant et le jour qui se lève...
