Amazing detail in this macro, you did so well to get it against a darker background and the one seed head dropping off at an angle creates a great point of interest, well done

Hi Petal, thanks for your comment,as I said to Bruce it is hard work getting down on my stomach to take pics at my age but really worth the effort for beautiful landscapes such as this.
You will have to visit again in winter to get the effect of the snow on the tops!!
PS I like your namemine is a bit out of the norm as well makes life interesting at times, especially when I am mistaken for the opposite gender.

Hi Greg, you will have to add this place to your calling card, well worth the gate charge to get up to the higher altitude the views are really spectacular and something different for this area which has been really thrashed by photographers.
Cheers

I am glad both Petal and yourself appreciate the low forground angle of view it makes getting down on my stomach all worth the while ,actually getting down is not too bad it is the getting up the trouble starts

Thanks for the comment, don't remind me about a wider angle lens it frustrates me SO much especially in situations such as this!

Very dramatic image, great sky and reflection.the for ground could do with a bit more light in my opinion.a gray grad would have balanced out the exposure somewhat but I dare say if you were standing on the back of a boat it would have been a full time job balancing yourself!!!

Hey! I see you are having fun with your post processing, that is what i enjoy as well but as yet have not tried anything as ambitious as this, not sure about this one either does not quite gel for me,sorry!the two images appear as individuals,I would like to see them merge in some way, perhaps to have the second image in the same tones with an outer frame to hold it all together. This is just just my opinion and i may be quite wrong, keep at it you are doing well.
Cheers

Great mood, love the repetition in the grass and sky, the strong diagonal thrust creates a lot of tension and drama.well seen and executed.

Thanks for your comment Greg,I love this area as well and head up there at every oportunity.I thought it was quite a bonus finding a few weeds to use in the forground for a change, there was machinery there and the area was being subdivided,a sad sign of the times.
Cheers

Hi Tim,SUPER work, love the saturation, it really works well for this image.you were lucky to find a place to stop to catch the magic light at the right moment.Good balance of the direct complimentary colours with just that little green touch to pull it altogether. Will be great on canvas.
You lucky so and so living out of a van and just painting and photographing, that is the life I dream about

Hello Elizabeth, this is an amazingly beautiful portrait of a peony, the tones and lighting are supurb,I think the fact the bloom is not the usual perfect symetrical shape adds greatly to the beauty of the whole image.Must add to favourites!
So thrilled to read your health report, wonderful news
