Thanks for the compliment Susie, the nice thing about flowers is that you are doing everything on a small scale and you can experiment freely and easily. I use the same techniques with portraiture, except now its on a bigger scale. Try some things and let me know how they workout, Cary

Hello Jacek, this is a very interesting image, that reflection in B&W, contrasting the basic earth with new technology a statement of man's effort to harness nature. I also appreciate your bio comment about Your passion and wanting to keep it a hobby. Your words take me back to when I was your age and exploring ways to express my personal vision thru my photos. Some folks could appreciate, most don't. But it is a personal thing and that is very imposrtant, stay true to yourself and keep on shooting, thanks for your comment on "PLumbabgo II", Cary

Hi Tom, thanks for your kind comment It is very motivating. I love portraiture and just have not had time to get anybody to sit still long enough, these flowers are all in my driveway garden and are there whenever the inspiration strikes.

Well Ann, sometimes flowers get to looking...you know, like flowers! I like to warp them into some phantastical outer space thing. Well, maybe some younger person with less refined taste will find it cool.

Well Dan, just keep them on ice for a couple hundred years and..... Just kidding, this was shot in daytime shade and lit with a flashlight. Darkened the background elements and added plastic filter in PS then gave a good dose of saturation.

Its very pretty Magda with the softness on the stem and back of flower, in my opinion it needs a little sharpness in the main part of the flower
