James, thanks for your time. The shutter speed was 10 seconds. We were relaxing on the grass and I used a friend's sandal to prop the camera up a little bit. The red lights on the buildings were sparkling, but my aperture wasn't adjusted properly, so it was blury. I stamped it out to clean up the shot. Thanks again. -Mark

Arif, great capture. I have the same lens and love it. did you do anything to change the perspective effect, or did you use the lens at 22mm? also, what aperture did you use? thanks for the info, and thanks A LOT for sharing your work!!!

thanks a lot, erin. for the black and white in this shot i used selective black and white with a plugin called "black and white styler." it also allowed me to give it that gray/purple tint. convenient plugin, but overall i think CS3 might do a better job.

great composition and excellent DOF. colors work wonderfully together. i can't see anything i'd want to change in this shot. i like how they are all leaning around the center group, nice planning.

nice shoy, Erin! i love the motion blur that you captured. the black and white selection goes wonderfully with the old fashioned theater in the background. good work.

the only thing i might try if you haven't already is cropping out the car on the left side. you would maintain the 2 subjects, the street, and the theater. also, it would center the people. just a thought

thanks

Mark
