About Sometimes I cannot describe a picture better than the title. This photo made me feel lonely and isolated.

Thanks, Mark. Sounds like I should have cleaned the remote a bit before photographing it. :) :)

Nessa -- Thanks so much for your comment! We are lucky that we have our photos to help express our feelings. It helps keep us sane while everyone else around us thinks we are nuts. :)
(I think that is a good thing).
--Best to you, Jan

i do not know why we/I are/am so meticulous with technicalities because what is really important is the subject, the message, so many thanks for sharing this picture Jan...txules

Thanks for your nice comments, Leo. I bought a new point-and-shoot camera yesterday and this was the first frame taken with it. Just playing around.
--Best to you and your lovely family, Jan

Txules -- Thanks for your comments; I feel that you are "right on" with the technical suggestions. I purchased a new point-and shoot yesterday and wanted to see some quick results. I did this hand-held with the macro feature turned on at a fairly slow shutter speed and the picture suffers from distortion and other problems. On the other hand, I liked the results and decided to share it with a minimum of post-processing (lazy on a snowy day at home) so I went ahead and posted it.
--Best to you and thanks, Jan

like the idea Jan and I'm with you about isolation; however this is a difficult shot that needs a better gear; look at the softness on the edges and the distorsion. I'd clone the blue right corner as well, but thinking about technically perfect pictures, who cares that if the message is strong; good picture Jan...txules

Onie -- Thanks for the hug and my wife is OK with that. I am a "hugging" kind of person and she has never objected. I took this picture as I was testing a new point-and-shoot camera yesterday during an snow/ice storm. The feeling I was having was from that distant, stormy day weather thing; I was sitting in the den looking at TV and felt so isolated. I was stuck at home, our street was impassable and there I was taking a picture of a remote control.
--Warmest regards and hugs back to you, Jan

Brian -- Thanks so much for your comment. If you look over my portfolio you will find that my pictures generally are not presented with the pretense of aesthetic value.
--Best regards to you, Jan

~~GRIN~~ Jan... The woes of modern life-style I think... Distance, fast paced world...

Families don't live just down the street or even in the same town or city anymore... :(

Clever title given the image subject Sir... and a HUG (If your wife is ok with that ;))...

Onie...
