Just goes to show, art has little to do with rules, regulations and specifics. It's all about instinct, light and passion. Congrats on a wonderful image!

Thank you Robert for your kind comments. In answer to your question, I see something new and exciting each time and challenge myself on how to look for new angles and perspectives. It's kind of fun doing a study of a simple subject and visually unlocking its many mysteries. Thanks for taking the time to look and comment.

Very well seen. I love the starkness of the Falls as a backdrop and the fresh green signs of Spring framed in the foreground. Excellent John!

Hey, I see you've found yourself some so called falls. Check back there at sunset and watch the magic appear. Interesting structure indeed. Could be a hinderance to boat traffic I imagine.

Joggie, I tend to agree, while both wave images are very nice, this one is doing more of an intricate and lovely dance. Love the title which perfectly depicts the mood of this image. Very well done!

Very nice portrait Tim. I almost feel like I'm visiting this remotely beautiful island and all its talented artists in person, thanks to you. I can relate to Graham's love for sailing. We are lucky to live in Rhode Island which offers wonderful sailing, especially around Newport. We have an old wooden sloop waiting to be restored. I would love to pick up a little wooden day sailer called a BeetleCat in the meantime. Judging from your past photos, the area where you live offers wonderful sailing opportunities as well. Also great Kayaking. This photo gives me hope that summer is finally on its way. Thanks for sharing.

What's up with holding out on sunsets? Why make foolish promises? Whoever tires of looking at sunsets is missing out big time. So, for the rest of us who feel inspired and renewed with nature's evening canvas, please carry on, and don't listen to the sceptics who usually end up being boring, feeble minded individuals, always trying to re-invent themselves and taking on a lofty persona. Bring on the sunsets. What makes a great sunset photograph? Giving the viewer a sense of hope and awe at nature's continued resilience and utter beauty. By the way, wonderful photo Manu.

I actually like this because the vast scattered snowy foreground mirrors the beautiful whispy sky overhead. Makes for a pleasing image. Plus I like the vertical format leading the eye to the mountains. But, hey, all your images are truly inspirational. Have enjoyed your work other places as well. I knew your name sounded very familiar to me. Your website is very impressive as well. You are in the company of many talented photographers. You all bring a renewed and admired appreciation for nature through your wonderful images. Thank you for sharing them!

Abutment, fog, creek, rays; it's all good to me. My eye is actually drawn away fronm the foregound to the misty woods beyond. The mist coming off the creek is nice as well. I love it.

Hi Tony Thanks for your comments. The lcd is definitely hard to read in bright conditions, but this one is a bit easier than most, in that it swivels, and allows you to somewhat get out of direct glare and bright light. No flash was used here. Just waited for the right light. Good luck with your new camera. I think you'll love it.
