About: I began with an Olympus OM-1N and 50/1.8 lens back in 1981 while I was still in high school. I dabbled in B&W darkroom techniques, but haven't done that for a while now, as I rent. I am still an amateur; photography is still strictly a hobby for me, but I enjoy it a lot and have invested large amounts of money in it ? some would say too much!
I still have my original OM-1N, but now also have an OM-2N, an OM-4T, and I now have three digital cameras: the Canon PowerShots G1 and G2, and the 10D DSLR. I also have quite a few lenses now; I love being able to pack just the equipment that I think I'll need that day ? I like to play around with perspective by using different focal length lenses.
Like a lot of others on this site, I love my new Canon 10D! I haven't shot film for a while now, preferring digital for its quick feedback. I will go back to film later ? the 'new toy' effect has to wear off first! ? but maybe I don't need as many bodies now. But, which one should go first..?
Photography is such a wonderful pastime ? can I say "mistress"? ? but it is expensive! Anyway, what else should I spend all my money on? What else is there?
