Hi Irena! But don't you think it makes the place look all warm and tropical?! John
PS. The ratings don't appear to be working at present anyway...

Well, John, I must be honest on this one - I don't like it. Too gray and depressive, too often I see the city in this way... and don't want to be reminded of that on pictures! lol
I like the shiny perspective of the tram tracks though, and if I try cropping it just above tha 'palm tree'... looks quite different!
I don't want to spoil your rating statistics on Xmas, but would be in the lower half... ;)
Personal prejudice against gray cityscapes, perhaps? ;)

Wow John, this is a great shot. Have to agree with alot of what Paul wrote above. Fantastic composition and great contrast. The strong blacks and the tram rails look great. I agree with Paul, the palm tree threw me. Looks much nicer than I remember it which is a good thing for sure. Shot should be on the front page. Great work, Mark 7+

Good shot, John. Making it B&W was a good choice. Gives it a gritty downtown feel. The abstract lines of the overhead wires and tracks add to that feeling. Well seen. Cheers, Ann.

I don't get the joke, but I like the strong image very much. It is stark and complex reflecting a very committed vision. Regards, --George

Hi John, I like the contrast and perspective. The overhead streetcar wires create a tunnel feeling. Well done, cheers.
