What a classy shot! Great eye for a window display that was very tastefully arranged. I like the sense of muted colors surrounding the brightly colored necklace. Very interesting. Regards, Carla

Hello! ça fait un bail! J'ai fait un tour rapide de vos photos et de prime abord celle-ci m'a plu par sa qualité photographique et par l'arrangement de l'étalagiste, par son élégance pour emprunter vos mots. A bientôt, drilan

So good to have you back George, and I do agree with you this is very elegant, and the reflections are subtle and beautiful..an eye catching image for sure. I find myself attracted to these kinds of things too..very well taken...Linda

Thanks, Paul. Polarizers and I don't seem to get on too well, and so I'm sure I miss some shots where the filter would help a great deal. Need to do some more experimentation, I suppose. ;-)

It's a little surreal isn't it? Very chic as well, nicely done George.
You could use a polarizing filter I suppose, difficult with the 2 stop reduction in light transmission though.

Thanks, Ken, for all your nice words. I, too, am fascinated by window displays. You're right, it is very difficult to deal with reflections. Sometimes--as with this shot--they can be made part of the image, but I have a ton of shots where the reflections are such a distraction, the shots are unusable. Best regards, --George

It is an interesting illusion, Larry. The feathers are just that--little wisps attached to the framework of the display--very neatly done.

Isnt' that beautiful baubles. Rather costly looking too. Well spotted.
George,
I was mad about these windows many years ago fascinated by their decorations and baubles. I had the idea of clicking high street windows for different seasons and try to publish it.
When I tried to photo them - I encountered a major problem - Reflection on the window glass ! The interference was too bad. That means I could only shoot them at night when the lights are on inside the window and the outside is dark and so no reflections.
So after few days of trying I gave it up.
regards, ken.
