I don't think anything is done to the color representation so what you upload should be what you see. If it looks different in your browser I would suspect that you have different color profiles active for your editing program and your browser. Are you saying that they look good in photoshop but not in the browser? Try open the file with a simpler image editing program and see what it looks like, it may give you an idea of what you need to address.

Dear Stefan,
there was a lot more light on her face before I posted this one, images seem to get much lighter and lose contrast on this site...

any remedy?

I think you need a little more light on her face. Maybe a curves adjustment can help you out.
