ok, i say leave the top over the fence view as gives context and some added dimension...the bricks look like they have a smoothing filter added? but i like it here because whole comp has a photoart look.....like the palette and the intertwining trees....well seen,Paul! now on to check out the other one
regards,gayle

Great idea, BTW. I'll see what happens when I pump contrast in monotone. Thanks for the suggestion.

Oh, gosh, Tom...you need higher resolution, as this is only 800 pixels high! ;)

More good work. Thought about high contrast b&w?
At first I thought you should have cropped the top but I sort of like the diagonal line. I do think you should size to avoid scrolling to see the entire image. Could be my screen resolution though. Anyway, interesting work.

...and that wall has such a strange quality to it. reminds me of frosted pop-tarts for some reason.

Dear Paul, I have a feeling you were going with a WWKD thing here and of course the problem is that if you were to shoot it straight on the trees would be too far to the right and really need to go across the bricks to work. It's a problem. You either had to temporarily pull them across the bricks more (if you have a friend and some rope with you - seriously) other then that doing what you did but crop out the top as Lori suggested. It still looks good but I think if you did one of the 2 it would look better. Still good work, Mark

They are a very pretty bunch of textures and colors. Don.

I played with that, but felt it denied 'closure' on the object, Lori. What I did have to do as a compromise was to darken the blown out wedge of sky, to keep the eye from wandering that way.

Nice, love the textures and colors! Awesome find.

How about cropping it to just below the top of the fence?? I think I would like it even better without seeing over the fence. What do you think?

Nice capture, Paul,
Lori ;)
