This shot was taken just before noon. If there were flourescents I did not notice them due to the sunlight outside where I was. I don't remember seeing anyone in the shoppe, but who knows who may have been coming around the corner. Merci, merci!!

This may not be a popular opinion, but I kind of like the monochromatic-ness of this shot. The fluorescent (was it? It looks fluorescent) lighting gives the shot an interesting green-yellow tone that I find rather appealing (and no doubt if there was a bowl of fruit or ice-cream, it would have taken on the same tone as well). I also like the lines and depth - way to see something extrordinary in the ordinary.
Is that someone's toe in the top left corner?

Thanks for the input. You are absolutely right, a spash of color would be perfect. I got this thinking 'black and white without being black and white' in mind.

I love this image. The washed-out look is perfect. The only thing that would make it better is if there were a big bowl of bright, colorful ice cream on one of the tables. Good job and thanks for sharing.
