hi Gayle, don't know why I haven't stopped by before now, your shots are lovely, different, interesting.....like this composition particularly, wonderful, perhaps sad, story, mysterious certainly.....I don't see her as from the far east, bronx maybe! Noted that a shot you nominated in the forum made it to the front page...good work. cheers, david.

This is fantastic and your composition and keen eye for these unique color variatons are, for lack of a better word, amazing. It seems empty yet at the same time bursting with life and vibrance. Outstanding work.

I was reading all the comments and the various interpretations and was again reminded of the power and universality of your art, functioning as a key, usable by profoundly differing people, to unlock and release their own personal subconscious visions. They look at your work and their spirits soar and you create so much more than photos on Usefilm. You create whole new worlds of energy and spirit and we are all more complete because of it.

Hi Gayle, this is really incredible, What intially attracts me is the lighting, very nice, and yes I see the broken glass and the woman, I could see both immediately..the title very fitting, very nicely seen and well presented, the play of light and shadow is wonderful, very well composed, great job...Linda

I see it all, Gayle. Fascinating to say the least. You have captured incredibly interesting reflections. I also see a blue stained glass cross in the far right upper middle pane of glass. the strings of lights are incongruous to the the 'gothic' waiting woman.

Gayle, I didn't see the broken glass at once, but saw the woman. My first impression though was one of 'trapped' the image has a real aura about it. The figure of the woman trapped inside, not a convential prison, [perhaps a 'gilded cage'] but nevertheless wanting to be free. The fairy lights add more poignancy to it. An excellent thought provoking composition Margaret

Very spooky, looks like one of those old ghost pictures. I like it but this kinda stuff creeps me out. It's like the film "The Ring" or something.......Spooky man, Mark

Gayle I saw the woman first. and did not see the broken glass until I read the discription. It's the kind of picture that makes you look at it, the colors capture you and you have to keep looking into it because you know there is a story there. Regards, Frank

Very cool Abstract. I really like the colors and dark tones. But what makes this image most interesting are all of the little things hidden inside.
Great job!

Even at the thumbnail I was drawn to this intrigueing image. I see the broken glass and the strands of lights and yes I can see the woman but I don't know if I would have seen the woman if you hadn't mentioned her. If you hadn't said anything about the woman I might have seen her after veiwing this for a while. She appears to be a ghostly image.
Imaginative and thought provoking image. Good abstract.
