About This is Lauren, and one of her poses from her senior portrait shoot. I purposely posed her in front of this tree, so that the sunlight would highlight her hair. Then I used a PS action called midnight gold to give it this soft glow. That being said, yes it's soft. It's not out of focus, it's that way on purpose.

I like it very much! I especially like the back lighting that is surrounding her. Beautiful work Dale Ann. I also like the softening touch you added. Because I've been doing so many senior portratis, I have been wishing there's a senior portrait section on her to check out. I'm glad when I run into one or two.

I think the same way. Its such a wonderful portrait and a very nice light and I think she is a very beautiful girl. The softening effect doesn't seem to add to the photo, but rather hides a little of the natural beauty of this great photo and her.
I'm very much a fan of a natural look.

A great portrait, brings out he natural beauty of this young woman. Marvellous pose and backlight. I am wondering though if the glow effect is a tad too strong. Do you think masking it somewhat around the eyes, for example, may focus the attention without ruining the feeling? Love your work. Cheers, Slava
