Great shot Susie,
You are absolutely right, this flowers look like a bird. They are so beautiful that when I see hummingbird on top of them, I don't know if I should take a shot of the flower or the hb.
In my last shot, I decided to get both.

Beautiful shot of a lovely flower. Do like the background treatment. Colors and crop are super. Thanks for taking the time to comment on some of my shots - really appreciate it. Been "plugged" in to my sewing machine for awhile and playing catch up on a few of my quilting projectss. Hello Susie. I thought by going to one of your photos you will see the "Bokeh" The out-of-focus areas of a photographic image. This image has a beautiful bokeh. Hope this helps.

Hi Janet...thanks! No, I didn't grow it. My sister (Kathy Hillard) and I own a cafe and were at a food show Wednesday and it was in a display. I know, I know, we were supposed to be paying attention to the show but we were both a little more interested in getting some photos. (Bet you know the feeling!) :)

Great comp and beautiful, fresh flower! This is very pretty Suz. Could just be me, but I'd like to see some saturated green on the bottom part of the flower to contrast with the vivid orange and blue! Anyway, great pic! Best regards.
