Hi Jonathan,
I don't know but my first T55 has been washed with a mix of Fixer, hardener, exaust pyro, fixer & hardener, water.... it work! :)
Now I have the sodium sulphite too and is almost better (and sure), anyway after it I fix with hardener and wash a lot.

Bye

Ok, I'll try some longer developments and see how that goes. I have been rating the film (for the negative) at around 25-32 ISO. I heard the print rates around 80-100 ISO or so. I do use the sodium sulfite and I hate it--leaves a terrible mess, followed by a short water bath. I've heard some people use film fixer (I think) after using the sodium sulfite. Just out of curiousity I tried using a solution of photo-flo but the emulsion began to quickly lift off. Goes to show what I know about chemistry--not much.

Hello Jonathan,
I've readen (and tested) that if you expose to 25 ASA and develope for one minute you get more contrasts. The solution to overexpose the film (25 ASA) is better when your goal is to obtain a good negative (obviously the positive is a little bit "burned")

Do you use Sodium sulphito anidrus to clean the negative?

Bye and have a nice test.

Ahh, polaroid 55. Very nice. This is beginning to turn into one of my favorite films. You developed it for a minute though? I've been doing mine for 20 secs. Is there an advantage for one versus another?

Ciao Aira,

Tanti saluti

Santa pazienza.... ;)

Ciao

Delicious. I've heard so many good things about that T55 Polaroid film. People are delighted with it. Also, the whacky natural frame must be really interesting to play with when printing. Here it looks like a small hand mirror -- like she's catching a glimpse of herself before going into an interview or something. Nice photo! Rgds, Svend

Hi, Giuliano!

No, I have very limited budget, so I got an upgraded (improved) Kiev 88 from Araxfoto, which was what I could afford. It seems OK, and I got some excellent lenses with it (including a 180mm F/2.8 Carl Zeiss!) but the viewfinder magnifier glass will not stay down... it is very frustrating because I want to use the camera with the waist-level finder! (Good for children...) I had to buy a new camera bag because everything is SO HEAVY!

Giuliano Guarnieri Giuliano Guarnieri   {K:36622} 9/26/2005
Hi Bryan,
you have to look for a Polaroid 545 sheet holder.
T55 is a 50 asa but in my opinion I prefer to set it as 25 asa and a longer developing time (60 sec. instead of 20-25 sec.).
Someone told that this method gives more contrast...
After the developing you have to put the negative in a solution of Sodium sulphite (220 gr x 2 liters). The cost (in Italy) is more or less 6 Euro per Kilo (not too much ;) ).
The film is already processed but this process is used to take of the "soft jelly" from the film.
Be carefully to scratches!

Resolving of the film is 160 lines per mm... wonderful details!

Bye and enjoy ! :)

noooooo... there is not enough bellows for the 300mm :) I can focus to maybe 2,5 meters but that is it. so maybe I will try the 210mm.

tell me about this T55 film. what holder must I purchase to use this film? also how do you develop these polaroids (I read they must be soaked in sodium or something??).

thanks GG. Paola is sooooo fantastic!

Hello Bryan,
I did several test in these days. With your Nikkor 300mm you can do this much better (if you have enought bellow to tilt ;) )
If you have never tried T55 ... do it! It's a really nice film!
