I love how you captured the snail's tilt of the head. I also like the curves repeated thoughtout the composition.

Almost perfect, except for the shell being out of focus and too bright. :) Andree

Thanks, aLi.
Thats a good critique. Yes, I hesitated to submit it because of the hot reflections from the flash on the wet shiny leaf and the body being cut off. I personally like photos with shallowr DOF so long as the focus is where it should be - because they confey motion, and a spacial element.

I found the expression on the snails "face" very compelling, so thaught I would share it... I plan to spend more time with these "garden pests" - they have presented some nice oppertunities.
Regards
Bryan

Nice Macro Bryan .. Good details and nice DOF .. but the shell is a bit blurry .. maybe the flash has caused loss of sharpness and details..oh .. i said flash .. the leaf the snails on is a bit over exposed due to the flash which is a bit distracting too me, not that much of course .. maybe you should have turned a bit so neither the over exposure or the shadow on the other leaf were not visible.. anyway it's a great shot .. Great pose this little guy has .. and a great title to your work .. I bealive titles are real important in images wich are presented like this but I, myself always have lotsa problem chooshing one my my shots..

My best regards,
aLi
