i agree with you,i have been so lucky,that i haven been in deserts hundreds of miles or in any case sufficiently far enough away from any artifical source of light to see how bright our galaxy and stars are shining,and how dark it is without them,if you ever were so lucky to be in such surroundings with a full moon,you will never forget it,should try to capture it once, but i do not believe this wil show how beautifull nature is without lightpollution

great shot why in hell shining lights upwards onto the sky? Lots of light pollution here too. people are scared for burglar etc.. immagine how many stars and planets I could photograph on a black sky. Nowhere to be found here, whether its the neighbour with a 2000w halogeen light,or a church lit by lights or the airport in the north or a town above the hill. Lights everywhere.

Looks like the skies around here. I have to drive an hour and a half just to get a black sky. Great capture and good point.
