About Sorry it's a bit late! You know what the post can be like these days! :o)

This is a picture of the Minster taken from Lord Mayor's Walk, which is part of the old walls. I like this shot because the houses in the foreground help to give the whole thing a sense of scale. Believe me, those houses are substantial homes, but they pale into insignificance compared to the vast size of the Minster! Awesome!

Have a great Tuesday! It's my 'day off' so hopefully I'll be out taking some more pic's at some point!!

Best regards to all,

Chris

Whoa, the Minster is huge. Your beautiful, crisp colours are always such a treat. They are vibrant and fabulous and natural. Your sense of composition is impecible, as always.

Aye - those houses would set you back an absolute fortune!

huge

that pointy bit at the back is one of the best bits of the minster - forget it's name (chapter house??) but is kinda round inside and is not always open.

a hudden gem

nice to see the minster from a different angle too!

What a Grand Capture Chris...AKA Mr Blue Sky..AKA....Photoshop CS(Chris Spracklen)lol...

I Love the lines and angle of which you took this shot from...The Scafolding doesn't bother me at all. In fact I didn't really notice it untill after I read some of the comments left by others...I can't wait to get back to Europe and get some shots..I Lived in belgium and Germany for a number of Years and I really miss seeing so many of the Beautiful Sights over there.
Have a fantastic Day Off. Get some great shots and I look forward to your next up-load.

Best regards

Very impressive image Chris - I like how the smaller buildings in front provide some scale to the Minster. Great work as always.

Great view there Mr. Blue Sky.... !!!! Brings back memories, took that walk on the walls once... you get some great views that way... ;-D!!! If I would've taken this shot... I would've walked on a bit so that the scaffolding was hidden and (more important...) the chapel they stand against wasn't 'hiding' so much of the main tower.... well I would've.... ;-D!!! Very nice colors, good composition... well captured!!

York is a beautiful place isn't it Chris. And that minster is awesome! This is a lovely shot of York... you've managed to hide most of the ugly scaffolding too (which can be a trick in its own right!) but its a shame the pointy roof partially obscures the main tower... I guess there weren't too many options though!
Lovely feel to this Chris...
