These are some of the flowers I like to shoot. They make beautiful photos! I believe one can say that they are Photogenic! The zig-zag pattern helps fill the frame. Very beautiful indeed! Gabriela

Yes, I think it works. Filling most of the frame with the subject proper and having an unobtrusive background in the remaining parts is what makes this photo much better than, for instance, Macro Approach I. On the downside, it's no different than a large number of other flower shots, which is why Macro Approach II comes out as the winner for me.

Well, this one works for me. I think it's the curve within the vertical frame. You're really giving that 'flex some exercise!

Thanks, Ellen. I'm gradually gaining confidence. Yes, I was in the office when the quake struck, and the accounts lady got quite panicky. Nothing fell off shelves, though.
