This is what I try for so often but fall short, Petal. That one "ringer" of a pink blossom makes the picture, along with the exquisitely controlled background. Anson

Lovely flower photo, dear Petal. Lovely caption too. It is in a photo like this that the ring-flash would make the flowers appear semi-translucent when put beween the ring-flash and the camera. Best regards, Rafi

Very nice shot, but personally I would like to see something sharp somewhere, and the flowers are very centered to the middle.

Another great shot Petal! Love the out of focus flowers to the right - they look quite surreal! Very small DOF here - but it also works so well for this shot! Be good while I'm away won't you? LOL
See you soon

I love this, charmingly gorgeous, simply very pretty. This convinces me there are cases where perfect focus doesn't improve: I consider the variety here, from total blur to soft focus, ideal. This is almost impressionistic. And besides, blue with green are a favorite combination for me. A most enjoyable and graceful Petal! ...Gab

This is GREAT Petal !! I love this shot, into my favs :) The minimal DOF is perfect, and the softness really adds to the feel of the image. Wonderful colors and the background looks like a watercolor painting, excellent work! I think this deserves some kind of award, great capture :)
