About Subject background: You might remember the first picture... the door is open for Snake Plissken to escape from New York... Will he reach the gate?..

Now he reaches closer to the open gate... but what's that? It seems that the drugs they give him to tell the truth start to work... his vision becomes somehow like a shaky cam... will he able to leave the gate behind? To be continued...

PS concept: Shot is done with a Hoya R72 IR filter (handheld). Switched the channel R=>B B=>R and did some level tweaking

Truth serum, oh no...Again Thilo the tones are wonderful, I really love the effects of that filter, I just recently bought a Cokin IR filter, will I get these same results? I like the continuing story, I think it's a great idea to add interest to the image that way, the words that a picture is worth a thousand words are not always true, are they? I'm looking forward to more. The angle is great, definitely adds tension to the image...very well done Thilo....:):)

Hi Thilo,
Fo mr this is my favroutie in the series.. I Like the feeling of immanent escape, but not quite there yet! The barbed wire in the top corner reminds of the dangers of attempting to escape.....

Funny, I like this version better than the awarded one (congrats!); the open door really makes the escape possible and the tilt indicates that the escape is done in a slight panic :) Very good!

In that area someone is going to come along and just shove him thru that gate so they can roll him!..LOL..seriously, i can sense the tension and like the close details and perspective ..the IR gives it a surreal look and i adore the blues and silhouettes!...what a good idea to have a visual story,Thilo....fine work,my friend...regards,gayle

Hi Antonio,

you're right, it's kind of similar. I thought it would be a good idea to keep some elements of the previous picture to tell the story. =)

Hi Thilo, die Ecke ist wirklich faszinierend, der Effekt Klasse ( sehr inspirierend :)), sieht aus wie ein Wintermorgen im Rauhreif.Das Foto ist perfekt für den philosophischen Hintergrund.

even though I find this one similar in nature to the previous I must say it is a bit crowded at the base, speaking in compositive terms; my compliments for colors and for IR work are the same as well

great capture... on its own it is great but I think I was spoiled with the last one. I like the ps work you have done...that is one thing I have not tried a lot of... actually I barely use it, but I think I need to experiment some in the future.. good work

Love the slant adds the feeling of confusion. Freedom is so close, I can taste it, but is the strength to go through there? Only can wait for the next image to find out. Love it and awaiting for the next~

Hi Thilo, I sure do remember the first one. I find your approach, IR, and channel switching very interesting; a combination I'm getting more and more ready for to try...;)

Compared to the first one, i find this a little more confusing and cluttered. Probably because of the overlap in the grating, the story between them (especially in reference with the previous one) makes it even stronger, as it tells a next step in the story. Different output, same atmosphere.

Full makrs on creativity!

Cheers,

Hugo
