Oh I dunno I think your DOF is just about right... sort of loud murmur in the background.. like wallpaper..the B&W kills the colour version

Thank you for your thought Beverly I hadn't thought of seperating the two but am frustrated by this. It stands out a bit too much, I agree with you, nice elements but not married well.

I agree with Greg, both the background and
the part in focus make fab photos but perhaps
not together? I love the texture and the light
refecting on the leaves.

Love this photo for the background more than the foreground. I think the focused bush gets lost a bit but still find it appealing.
