Thanks, Ned. I used a Canon macro Twin Flash. It works really well, but is a bit more expensive than a ringflash. You however have a lot more control, and I don't think I will ever master all its capabilities (I will always be learning more about using it).

very interesting,will do a search on the internet.But maybe my 300D doesnt do that,max shutter speed 1/4000s.
Tried exernal flash up to 1/400s useable sinc flash image.Just loose the bottom part a bit.

Thanks, Guido. I used a twin-flash, which can sync at high speed. I was experimenting to see if I could get better freezing of motion - this one there wasn't much motion, so I didn't really need the high sync or ISO.
