This one slipped by me George, don't know how!?
It's a great photo with many interpretations if you look at it long enough. I particularly like the expression on the mans face, he doesn't look at impressed about such close inspection ;~}

Hope you're fit and well, haven't heard from you in a while.

The interaction between people and the works of people is interesting to observe. I have taken similar photos of my daughter looking at impressionist paintings at a Los Angles museum. Paris or LA, it's good to see art providing something to young people. Your reflection allows us to get yet another layer of meaning in this.

Merci, Drilan, de vos remarques aimables.
I took this photo in the Centre Pompidou which has two or three of the Picasso Harlequins. I tried to avoid the reflections, but the large window made that impossible. The statue in sulhouette on the right I cannot identify, but the one on the left in the strange pose with the camera strap dangling does look vaguely familiar. I am glad you like the result. --g

Allez! Salut!

Who's looking at who? I did find the reflection distracting until I spotted the photographer in it! Guess I was missing the point until then...

This is a wonderful shot! I haven't yet posted any of my museum shots. I have so many, and I have not even done 2/5ths of the shots I took yet. I am glad you too, enjoy France.

Geroge,

This one is hilarious !

Should have been the photo of the day. I love that wide-eyed 'insecure' look on his face while a female is up-close and personal ! The hat just goes very well with the scene.

Its as if the present meets the past.

Good presence of mind to see this and click.

well done,

regards,
ken.

Yes, Larry, many of the museums in Paris allow photos. Many years ago PD (pre-digital), I was engaged to shoot dozens of displays in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. The restrictions are--No Flash and No Tripods. That was my first experience with very low light and l-o-n-g handheld exposures. Reflections are alwaysproblematic. Glad you approve of this one. I like it, too. --g

This magificent photo drew my attention while still on the "friends' photos" page, George.
Thank you for your very kind comments on my "Smiling traveleres" and my "Since 1492" and its "about."
Thank you also for telling me about the meaning in Jewish history in the US of Charleston.
The chances of our coming there in the forseeable future are very slim. I would, however, be very glad if you could tell mm more about it in an e mail sent to
rafael1939@bezeqint.net
If you like, I will send you five of the thirty short stories Rachel wrote about her stay in a detention camp on Mauritius between ages 3 and 8 that I translated from the original Hebrew. Rachel's stories (2-3 pages each) were combined in a book dalled "Sweet lemons", adopted and published by our National Institute for the Study of the Holocaust to be taught in our schools.
Best regards,
Rafi
