Ameed,
I needed ISO 400 because it was so dark. The sun had gone down so the whole thing was lit by twilight and the moon! I was alternating between blurred and not-so-blurred :) shots so I set the ISO and just varied the aperture (I usually shoot in Aperture Priority)

very nice interesting experiment Angleo, I like the idea it self, creative indeed, but can I ask why ISO 400?! Cheers,

Would like to try same idea on the beach myself but probably not easy to capture it as well as you did Angelo. Creative use of the camera settings. Thank you for the inspiration.

Hi Angelo, This is one of those images that grow on you (me). At first, I felt a bit ambiguous about the blur, with not a single thing in focus. But having looked at it on and off for quite some time now, I'm beginning to appreciate the dynamism, the composition and the feel of the image more and more. Even better, I'm beginning to really like it; it's not out focus at all, and the few things that are distinguishable (the toes, the forearm, etc) make it. The feel of motion, speed and action is excellently captured. Very intriguing image....:)
Cheers,
Hugo

I thought there was slightly too much blur in this shot until I realized the bloke was in motion. In that case the blur is called for. Very nicely done then (brings out that "Camburi Beach Vibe"), Mark

I love the idea and how you have used motion to create the not so typical action photo. The colours are excellent, the dadrker hues of subject perfect against the softer hues of see and sand. I think alos this would take on a very powerful dimesnion if presented in B&W. A fine series you are creating here my friend. Cheers, Gerhardt

I like the blur here - motion blur - and the colours..... make me think of the warmth, the water, sand and the sun of course!

Danny,
Actually, he crouched further down to touch the skim board during the exposure.
