-Srebrenica boys wondering where their fathers are?!
Remembering Srebrenica 1995-2005 Srebrenica fell to the Bosnian Serb army on 11 July 1995. It is estimated that 23.000 women and children were deported from Srebrenica in the 30 hours after Bosnian Serb leader General Ratko Mladic entered the UN's "safe area". Srebrenica was supposed to be a UN-designated safe area but UN forces in the town proved unable or unwilling to help its Muslim population. Muslim men aged between 12 and 77 were separated from their families for "interrogation". Nearly 8.000 of them were killed and buried in mass graves in the enclave. United Nations officials say it is the biggest "ethnic cleansing" operation since World War II. 25 jul 1995 Karadzic and Mladic charged with war crimes. And Srebrenica today is a dismal, half-empty town in the "Republika Srpska" or Serb Republic half of Bosnia, which last year had to be coerced into acknowledging the massacre and taking responsibility for it. A newly discovered grave in the process of being exhumed was to be displayed on Monday, 11 July 2005. SREBRENICA - NEVER AGAIN GENOCIDE!
