Very moody photo of a great subject. Love the b&w tones you've used here. Good job.

Best wishes,
Dave

Glen:

No, I shot it in color and used the NIK filter to convert it to B&W. Filter = "B&W conversion: tonal enhancer". It is found under, "Traditional filters"

So, Pat, you shot this in b&w and used the nik color fx software. My question is: Which of the filters did you use?

Warm regards,
Glen

I've found the NIK media on line. Now, which one of the software selections did you use? There are quite a few rangeing from $299.00 down to $79.00
Thanks,
Glen

I don't understand what Color EFX Pro is. Is it a program? Filter on camera?

I don't understand what you're saying about the Color EFX PRO. Does it go on the camera lens? Is it a program? Where does one buy one/it? Please respond directly to me at:

Thanks Glen for all your comments.

I use a filter from NIK Multi Media called Color EFX Pro. B&W COnversion with tonal enhancment. It is alot like have a colored filter on the lens when shooting B&W Film. Except I get to choose which filter to use in Post Production.

Thanks Again!

I want to know how you and some others get that effect in b&w images with p/s. I just love the look.

Very good work, I really admire the old, almost gothic feel that you've captured here, and the tones are excellent.
