I was tucked inside of my kitchen with the back door open. There was however a moment of pant changing required when I went outside to retrieve the garden washing line poles which were spoiling the shot. I have never moved so quick!
All the best Phil H

I for one am glad you put in the effort this is a Magnificent catch. 7's all around. If you want storms you need to visit Illinois in the warm months it will make your hair stand on end.

WOW.. It's worth the waiting Phil.. I just suggest cropping the picture from the right side, the little light on the buttom right side kind of distracting.. Your shot is very impressive.. I love it.. to my fav. +++++++

Nicely done and worth the wait, Phil. Very active bolt of lightning. I just got m first the other night and it is worth a smile!
I find it so interesting how the camera interprets the sky. In your case purple, in mine, orange. Very nicely done.
