I like this red-hot mushroom, Joggie. Do you have more information on it (popular name, is it poisonous...)?

The flash was not ideal, but needed, I guess. I like the strong colour and the low-key overall effect of the photo. As a viewer, I almos feel like I am myself lying on the forest floor!

Hi Joggie,

Great shot of a really interesting and colorful fungus. I really love the deep tones you have here. May I suggest one thing to try? Reduce your shutter speed so you can add some light painting to the background to reduce the hard shadows. It's a thought....
