Louise, I like the intent of this shot but feel the execution could be better. I read that you had shots of the groom in focus and pleased you took this with him OOF too. However, I feel he's too OOF for my liking. It is for two reasons, 1) I'd actually like to see some expression on his face, if only a suggestion and 2) with him that OOF it's actually drawing my attention too much. He's quite a dark figure and the 'effect' (I forget the tech term) of him being OOF makes a bizzar bobbly eye catching effect! Wow that must sound crap - apologies if it does!I've done some wedding photography and have more to come - I'm no expert but my taste prefers none staged shots. I'd love to see this taken across a room with him looking at her and you just 'catching the moment' - but then I guess so would we all.Last note - I bet yo ulove that lens right - my 70-200 rocks and I struggle to take it off when I get shooting! You can get too gung up on f2.8 though I find with it and perhaps this is a good exapmle of that - when f4 or even f5.6 may have been fine. I do however appreciate it's a wedding an you don't have all day to stand around stopping down to get the 'perfect' shot! Rgds Matt

Yes, that is the groom. We do have him in focus in other shots. This was an after though after we were all finished. It is hard to stop me once I get shooting!!!
