About This is the second in a series of blue dawns at Derwent Water in the English Lake District. I used a 2 stop soft ND grad to balance the exposure between sky and lake.

You should be nominated "master of the blue" considering your recent blue pictures. Beautiful, congrats.

The lake's a real mirror, Barry. Beautiful dawn light and sky.

This is absolutely superb landscape work, Barry. Great technique and very good composition providing interest all the way from the foreground to the background. The subtle colours on the hill at the back round this one off nicely.

On the thumbnail I preferred the other one but when you see it in a larger size this is definitely the one. The composition is even better than the last one and the colours just as exquisite. I can't see how this could be improved...

Magnificent!
