One more thing about this shot. I think the focus is perfect myself. It adds a sense of that "fleeting glance" feel. If you focused on her you get the "voyer" feel. It just depends on which way you want to see it. I prefer the way you have it. Another trick if you feel the focus is soft is to convert to B&W (I use "Channel Mixer" to do this). The lack of color seems to relax the minds need to focus... see attached below:

What editing program do you use? If you're using Photoshop, there is an excellent book called "50 Quick Tips" for all the versions that I learned HEAPS from. You should check it out. Also, any of the Scott Kelby books are excellent. I highly recommend them.

WOW, Thank you Cheryl! Ya know, this is a natural sky! I didn`t play with this one. Although, I do agree with Fransisco about the focus...should be more on Piper.

David, Yes it is the point! You should always take the time to know your subjects even none human ones...I think...Was wondering anyway! Thank you for the information. I have many more odd looking tools in pictures that you may be able to help me with.
Thanks :) Kelly~

Kelly - this is great. Love that sky you captured and the framing of the wheel. This is a wonderful setting you choose. Great the way her hair is blowing in the wind. Perfect for the "unkept" feeling of the shot. LOVE THIS!

Good way of thinking to see the location, Nice location, everything stood obeyed you except her hair... but i give you full mark for the view, because the photart is hidden behind the viewpoint of each heart, if you foucus that object that will become only a picture,,, but if you focus your mind it will become an Art.

No sweat! Try setting your camera to centre focus, if you want an object on the side, centre it in the viewfinder (screen) push the sutter half way and wait until the camera tells you it is in focus, then, with the button still half pressed, compose the frame, when you are happy, push the button all the way.
Cheers!

Dear Kelly, I like it so much the way you are framing Piper Rose, very good, excellent colours. My only remark is that the camera set the focusing in the machine and not the model. I would have like to see her sharper.
Best regards,
Francisco
