Interesting spices.
Makes a wonderful image too.

I happen to visit a spice plantation in Goa in Feburary. Very interesting tour. The tour guide was really good in explaining things. Enjoyed it.

George,

Would you mind if I use this image in my website. I need something like this one to go with this page here

kentheteaman.com/india2.htm
(just add www in front).

regards,
ken.

Hi George,

this is cool stuff. the brown tones, the texture of the table and the overall composing works pretty well together.

great still.

best wishes,

Thilo

Very Very nice George...great detail elegent composition...since I've never printed a 13x19 the 400 may be appropriate for the lighting conditions

Great photo. I can smell the spices now. Excellent composition - really like the old board it was placed on, it gives the photo a rustic look.

Yes, Chris, the lower ISO would be nice. I did take this with the 10D. With the 20D, the higher ISO quality is amazing. I regularly make prints of 13x19 and have no quality control issues at all with the 20D's ISO even at 800. In this case, I was playing with a new tripod and cable release and just took what I found. Thanks for the good suggestion. --g

Excellent still life...the DOF and composition are both well chosen. I might have used a longer exposure, and the native ISO speed of 100. I only say this because, I am making more and more 8x12 and bigger enlargements, I def. notice even when you use 200 vs. 100. Just an observation, shot looks great. Very rich lighting, the ingredients fitting into the texture of the table very well.

Chris
