Peter I noticed a difference in your shots since you got the new camera there's more light in them. The others although good seem to have a gray pall over them. I had a rough time getting used to my Nikon, there were so many times I was tempted to pitch it over the bridge. I've since learned to keep moving around the flower until I get just a little bit more light and then the focus settles down. Gee I'm one to talk, a year ago, just, you were holding my hand while I took my first baby steps. Happy anniversary and thank you.

First of all, thanks for the wonderful comment. I've not had perfect results with this camera with all shots at first. I had the same problem with my three Kodaks, Minolta Dimage 5 and Fuji FinePix S3100. I've posted photos from most if not all of these. This camera was purchased as used with a 512 module from E-Bay. If you look at my about you can see what I did from the auto shoot. ISO=50 reduced Exposure Bias. I did take 4 shots a various setting to see what they did and picked what I thought was the best. I o have to delete about 30%. Most because of focus problems, especially with very small flowers or DOF shots. I'm still learning how to use this canera. I wll still bring along my reliable Kodak DX4530 as a backup. The canon is not a Point and shoot camera except for general camera shots.

Again thanks for the womderful comments,
Peter

You certainly goy up early to capture this floral Peter. The colours are just fantastic, so rich and vivid. I like the composition too, how it's little brother is peeking through to get in the shot.

Thanks.

another great shot Peter.. I have to say I am really taken back by the results your getting with your new Canon. Last year I actually bought the same camera, tried it for a week..then returned it.
I think you got yourself a 'good one' or your doing something special your not telling us about.
keep up the terrific work.
