OK, Paul...here is my commentary. Yes, she is out of focus. But most of the CHICAS are. We have idealized impressions of who and what they are. We see them as extensions and projections of ourselves. Since she is passing by and out of focus, this becomes more important that we only see a glimpse of her and and out of focus glimpse as it is. We of course would like to see more, get to know her better. We can't, though, as she is beyond our grasp (physically as well as psychologically) so we accept this brief out of focus vision and are satisfied. That is the therapist in me...but I like the image!
