Nice piece of work. The original photo is well posed but somewhat lacking. The manufactured DOF and monochrome with sepia toning makes all the difference. Excellent titling. I agree with the comment that the shallow DOF loses something when created digitally rather than in-camera, but with a point-and-shoot there is little you can do about that. In any case, a good eye, to pick up on the potential of the original and turn it into this.

Wow Kelly -- this photo is so neat. I really like the long bangs too -- It reminds me of summer when I was young. My mother could never get me to stop playing long enough to go to the hairdresser. Great tone and nice work in PS.

Actually the grass and the dof working does not bother me or the quality of work, only a bit dark area around the face which couldn?t figure it out, though remain an excellent wotk.Saeed

Here is the Original Francisco, You are so right...Im very new at this, using a point and shoot camara. The grass looks like puzzle pieces. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. I cant believe I didnt see that originally. I love this critique gallery. Also, no she doesn`t have sun glasses on, just very long bangs, Geuss I need to take her for a haircut! By the way, these are my Babys! Thanks again!

Excellent shot and beautifully composed. I'm not sure about manufacturing the DOF, there is a glow around the girls and the gradation of the blur of the grass in inconsistent. How was the original picture? The tones are lovely and the perspective is excellent.

Powerful eye-contact, and well arranged in bring elder to first close up and that show great comparison subject, the selection of tone and background gives this image excellent on first impact, just a question is the small girl wearing dark sunglasses, if that the case this image deserve award.
