About After a long and sucessful day in the Royal Armouries, Andy and I decided to have good old drink. Steve was with us of course, but the poor soul was driving and on cokes.

After the curry I took us to Aire bar as it surved 2 purposes - a view like this of the canal, and a bar.

This is a 10 second exposure e with an ND filter on the sky and a polarser - was getting quite dark!

Just been updating my website, www.mcfade.com

got to plug it as you only get to see one shot of mine every now and then - and you can look and not feel obliged to comment ont the site :-))

here's April's "best of"

Lovely.

What a bit of beer can do to a soul - making him go even more slow on the shutter speed, I suppose !

regards,
ken.

like the strong greens from those trees - how long were you "holding" the camera for on that one then :-)

Excellent capture Ade, I have a similar one which I have played around with a little which I might upload later tonight.

Yes you are correct I was sampling the various blends of coca cola, varying nuances and exquisite aromas. I will get Andy to drive next time lol

Best wishes,
Steve

Great view from the bar, but it looks like you need to be careful - not to fall into the drink - after a drink or two or three - LOL

I do like the glassy effect of the water in the original Ade and also the inclusion of the Leeds wildlife ) but the light reflections are more impressive in the second. Both great.
I suppose your exposure times will be measured in pints soon Hehehe.

Beautiful capture and ND filter has done great job here. Only bothering part is the cranes at far distance. Other two in the comment sections are beautiful.

It's a testament to the power of Beer Marky! !

I'd had a HSB (4.8%), 2 Cobras at the curry house, a Gun Park Dark and was on a nice Guinness when I took this!

Squeezed in another 3 before the bus home.... then the bus didn't turn up!!!!!

Steve's trying to sort out a trip up soon - he's trying to avoid clasing with your band, but I thought it'd be a good night if you were playing, we could be the official photographers!!

Cheers

I often debate the pros and cons of leaving cranes in Leeds shots.

One one hand, you're right - unsightly.

On the other, they are a sign of Leeds' growth and progress. They are literally all over the place putting up new expensive flats.

And yes, the crane fairy came and took them away in the later shot!

Beautiful lighting and reflections, Ade! The second shot is spectacular with the pint...er...I mean the colours!

Great shot but I think I like the 1/2 pint later one even better. See what those pubs will do for you :-)

Stunning colors and great refletions. Too bad you got some construction cranes sticking out behind. Ruins an otherwise serene scene. Did they magicly disappear in the second shot?

Great shot mate... I also like the later one..... (maybe there is a moral there - more beer = better pics???) Superb light and composition and very smoothed out water. Exccellent

BEAUTIFUL shot, ade. Reflections look great. The one after "1/2 a pint" is even better. Excellent capture
