Thanks Shane!! Indeed, at times this aurora was bright enough to hide most of the stars. For that to happen at La Verendrye under good conditions, you need a pretty serious aurora. I'm still quite surprised that so few people saw it frm Ottawa. I'm wondering if the few extra degrees in latitude north provided for a stronger aurora? Or maybe just the lack of light pollution helped? Anyway, hope we don't have to wait too long to see some more.

Hey Pierre,
Looking at these shots makes me drool like Homer Simpson! I love auroras! This shot is pretty incredible. The range of the colours, and the lack of stars indicates it was a pretty bright aurora, and very active. Once again, excellent shot!
