my hometown is green bay (most unfortunately) and yes, i do go to the U. i guess im more there for the city and the culture of minneapolis than the school, but i love it all. and even though i wish i was from the netherlands, i only was there for three weeks with a study abroad program at the U. and before that, i had toiled myself through a year of learning dutch at the university, which of very little amounts i actually used, as i'm sure you experienced...everybody knows english. what was your trip to the netherlands for? leisure? where else did you go?

it's always nice to see an imaginative shot like this.

thanks for the comment Memo....i wish there were a story, but like most of my photos there is no story to be told. just a beautiful moment that i happened to capture on my nikon. messed with the colors on PS, and stole the title from a great song by Ween.
thanks for looking........

I can look at this without burning my eyes. Some furnace! The tension is almost exclusively from the color itself.

Nice one ! I love the strong color, and crossing diagonals - corridor versus line of vision - add suspense. Dynamic range is not a major issue here, IMO

Super shot, Todd. I wonder where the h*ll they are going - some fiery place - that's right: h*ll! It could be limbo. /Hansi

(I?ll try to keep my distance) from your science fiction fantasy - the light, the yellow, orange, right out of Close Encounters?

Hi Todd,

that's a pretty cool color composing. like that burning light here. A mild pity is that the white balance of your cam seemed to have problems with the lighter part. I know that situation very well ;-)

anyway, cool clinical stuff.

best wishes,

thilo
