About This shot reminded me of some of the crazy names for English pubs like Slug & Fiddle or Kebab & Calculator, so I give you Snail & Tulip.

Tripod used and mirror lock-up as I wanted to use a low ISO as the 350D can over saturate the reds at higher levels.

Alright Sal,

I did read a very good comparison review between the 350D and 20D and the reviewer said that for action shots the 20D was better for a couple of reasons.

i) The viewfinder on the 20D is brighter and the focus hits the mark almost 100% of the time compared to his figure of 90% for the 350D, he also mentions the ability to select AF points is easier on the 20D but I have had no problem with this. In fact most of my shots have been with the Sigma 105 macro lens and I tend to use Manual focus as the Sigam hunts like crazy, but the kit lens (18-55 non USM) AF's fine everytime but the quality of the optics is poor compared to the Sigma. I imagine with a decent Canon USM you would find the 350D does a good job.

ii) The 350D has a maximum burst rate of 3fps for a max of about 14 frames (I usually max it out at 12 frames on JPEG large, less on RAW), where as the 20D has a max of 5fps, unsure about how many it can take but I bet it's more than 14!

I found the comparison on www.whichlens.com..... you may want to check it out. If you want to ask me anything else please feel free to email me on worm1979_1999@yahoo.co.uk

Cheers.

Brilliant! Wonderful detail and very natural color saturation.

PS You also have the 350d, if you would James please comment about it ability to auto-focus on fast moving objects.....is it spot on or hit or miss Kamran and I are toying with the idea of upgrading our 300d's to either you camera or taking the plunge and getting 20d's. We'd love to hear from you.
Regards
Sal
