Well captured. Like the way its dark in the foreground and the sun is still shining on the mountains and above the lake. The Sierra Nevadas look so majestic!

Thank you, Petal! Margaret lightened it a bit in her post, I think the details are much better--

Thanks, Kevin-- I didn't expect so much snow there so late in the season-- but I'm glad for the snow on the mountains for the backgrounds... and Mono itself was pretty nice temp wise... a beautiful place, one I'm sure to go back to.

Mono Lake is such a magic place - I have not been there is a while - never when there was snow on the surrounding mountains - only in summer - beautiful color

The lightening up certainly brings out the hidden details, Margaret-- thanks! It could be a bird, I think! There were many swallows darting around there, plus a few ospreys and some gulls...

Wow incredible I love this so much. A great composition wonderful natural framing by the rocks, which at the right looks like a figure of someone. I think because I am just plain nosy and want to see more, I am always lightening things a little to 'see more' and I thought I detected a bird on the rock - so had a fiddle - do you think it is!! beautifully framed landscape. The forms are fantastic as it's the lighting. Great image!-- Kind regards, Rafael
