Thank you David for spending time and commenting on another one of my pictures- this time I used no flash -that was the camera's internal B&W adjustment. Picture was taken on a very overcast cold day. Eddie

Thank you Al for spending the time reviewing my May picture. I will take your advice into consideration on my next attempts. That shot I took was on a very overcast, cold day . Eddie

what a cute face. Like a doll! Is that a camera internal B&W version or did you convert it later? It just feel slightly gray in gray. Maybe a little more contrast might help.

Edward, You have a nearly ?award winning image?, a beautiful young girl, a good composition and exposure. But what is stopping it in my opinion (for what?s it worth) is your focal point. I bet you used auto focus on her face because her hair on the top of her head is sharper than the most important part of her face in portrait photography?.the EYES. Might I suggest you retake it (since I believe she?s your daughter, you have a captive model ;) ) and manual focus on her EYES, use a tripod if you can and put it on the self timer ? both will reduce any camera vibration, your DOF looks good. Another suggestion would be to shoot with the sun behind her and use fill flash, this would give her some highlights on her hair. Then you?ll have the ?Award Winner? !!

I hope she didn't stay sad too long. She's really adorable. I like the motion of her hair blowing in the wind.
