About This is the view looking northeast from my previous upload of Red Rock Crossing. This particular rock structure is visited by many thousands of people every year. Depending upon the time of day, the weather, and the time of the year the rock appear dark and non-dimensional, pale and without much detail, glowing, bright with color and detail - but always with the distinctive red color of the rocks and landscape in the Sedona area. They are filled with character.

Larry - Sedona certainly is magical - just don't get up there as often as I would like. Thanks for the comment.

Tiffany - Rob had me e-mail him the original and he fixed it. Of course how he fixed it got garbled in my brain, but bottom line is that I understand you just have to play with color balance, hue, saturation, brightness, detail and a host of other stuff. Practice and remembering what does what and when what is needed is probably helpful. Oh well, I am learning slowly, so I guess and old dog can learn new tricks. LOL

Thanks Mary - My son Rob played with it and managed to bring out some great details on the rock formations.

Very nice shot Jan, great detail in the foreground but the detail in the rocks seems to fade away. Nice composition!
