This is fantastic. I see most images of owls just staring...but this one with the wings spread is very well done. Congratulations Kerry.
Thankyou also for your comments on my images.

Thanks Lee If I go the "long way" home from work, this could almost be considered on the way... I want to try to get out at least weekly for the next while 'til the young fledge. One is quite a bit bigger than the others, but they are all still downy, so it will be a while yet. But yes, pretty special. Thanks again,Kerry

Thanks Gary, distance and a uniformly overcast/bright sky were the challenge here, as like yousaid, there was more light behind than on the family. I got another roll off a couple of days later under better light, but with a whole bunch more wind to shake things up... Thanks again, Kerry

Thanks Yamil! Some great captures of your own as well. I especially like the Stellar's Jay... I used to see lots of them in the scrub land around Spokane when I lived there, but we don't get them on this side of the divide! Well done, Kerry

Great results . The "Mom" is very detailed considering you had to contend with the twigs etc in front of the nest and looks like strong light from behind
