Hi Bryan, My mistake in wording . . . I like that the sun is shining on the dune but not shining on the mountains in the background. Sorry for the confusion. -- Naomi

Naomi ~ I missed this comment earlier. what do you not like about the background? when I was composing this foto I had this thought 'if I compose the dunes against the mountains, I'll get this contrast of colors - warm vs. cold' maybe it does not work? thank you!

Hello GG. thank you so much for stopping by :) I made my first fotos with the SH this week!! I have not processed the negatives yet though. I was using the Schneider SA 90/8,0 in the early morning hours. Hahahaha I could not see anything on the ground glass so I am quite sure that I have only made garbage fotos! But maybe I learn a little from these first fotos :))) Thank you again GG.

thank you so much for the visit and comment Carsten. yes I used a 2 stop ND (Lee 150mm) filter. unfortunately I have no holder for such a large filter so I am left to hold it with my hands and hope for the best :)

Hello Bryan,
very nice subject and composition
When do you start to put on your back the 10 kg of new camera? :))))

You've been very lucky to find the Combi Plan tank. I've not found them in Italy :( but for what I've seen they should be perfect for developing multi-film without an excess of developer (with the Doran 4x5 you need 1,5 lt to fill it!)
Bye

Funny, but I thought "at least medium format" looking at the small preview. Wonderful soft tones, great colors and artistic composition. Grad ND filter for the sky ?
