Well....While I didn't say it I did manual focus because the autfocus on the 300mm is to slow...Trying to capture a target that doesn't stay put would have been futile

Thanks Larry. I see the details are in the info section now. I didn't think to look. My brain's been a little taxed today. I would have expected a larger aperture than f11 and wouldn't have been surprised if you'd used manual focussing as the D70 autofocus would have tended to hook on to the nearest subject. This is why I've been so intrigued. Den

Well..lets see it's F11...1/60 I'm not sure I know how both the background & foreground are blurred....again this is a handheld 300mm shot of a moving target and the USEFILM image is cropped from a larger photo

Ah-choo! Vey good capture, but that stuff is all over the place around here. I wonder if bees are ever allergic. (Sorry, I'm a little punchy, today--a little more than usual, that is.) Best regards, --George

Whew, he's BEEn one busy bee Larry. This time I'm going to ask you about the camera settings as I find the DOF is spot on. It intrigues me as it appears both foreground and background are out of focus leaving only the subject sharp. It is a terrific effect. Well done. Den

Hi Larry: Biggest comment (unless my interpreation is skewed) would be that the picture isn't identified as a Bee covered in pollen. Your shutter speed really blurred the wings, so the Bee isn't "easily identified"! Personally, I like it...not often when you actually see the pollen on the Bee, just hear about it... )
Cheers, Bill
